Artist Talk: Roya Amigh & Curator Monika Fabijanska

Join us this Saturday, September 19 at 3pm for an Artist Talk with current Artist-in-Residence Roya Amigh & curator Monika Fabijanska.

Event organized on the occasion of Roya Amigh: Presence of the Absent, a solo exhibition examining the fragile terrain where women’s movements, personal histories, and collective memory intersect. Across installations, drawings, and works on paper created between 2019-2026, the exhibition traces how Amigh’s practice moves between drawing and textile to explore identity through gender, class, sexuality, and the lived experiences of women across generations.

Roya Amigh, born in Bandar Mahshahr, Khuzestan province, Iran, is a Bay Area–based artist who earned an MFA in Painting from Boston University in 2012.
