Leaders' Event for Nature & People

Note: KODA coordinated the artists interludes at the occasion of this event gathering Heads of State and Government & other leaders to support action for Nature.

"The global goal for nature defines what is needed to halt and reverse today’s catastrophic loss of nature. It is supported by a number of organizations that ask governments to adopt the goal.

We are in a state of planetary emergency of interconnected global challenges, including biodiversity loss, climate change, zoonotic disease exposure, land degradation, water scarcity, waste and pollution. These require urgent and united global actions. World leaders must take urgent and transformational actions to rebalance our relationship with the natural world. They must prioritize a just economic recovery focused on net positive outcomes for nature and climate, and support an ambitious and transformational post-2020 global biodiversity framework as a key tool to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. This leaders’ event will showcase a leaders’ pledge for nature that commits to urgent and transformational actions to address biodiversity loss, safeguard our planetary safety net and ensure we build forward better towards net positive outcomes for nature, climate and sustainable development.
