Opening Reception: Sari Carel: A More Perfect Circle

Celebrating Earth Day, KODA presents A More Perfect Circle, Lentol Community Garden’s first public art project created by artist and activist Sari Carel. A series of ceramic sculptures are inspired by the single use coffee cup, a ubiquitous object that brings into focus people’s experience of interacting with trash. The installation connects this personal encounter with a disposable object to the wider systems that fill our lives with waste. It opens on April 20, 2024 and will be on view through June 30, 2024. The project and programs are presented with the Greenpoint Library and Environmental Education Center in Brooklyn that will host two panel discussions and a behind the scenes look at the project in display cases.
